Men’s Suit

Origin

Men's style at the beginning of the 19th century was a fashion nightmare, consisting of tailcoats, silk stockings, knee breeches and to top it all, powdered wigs. But luckily for us, Beau Brummell came along and invented the Men's suit that is in use currently. Towards the start of the 20th century, the classic Men's suit had majorly replaced the decadent knee-length frock coats and suits of the 1800s.

Types

While there are many different types of Men's suits out there, the most common ones are the 2 piece suits, 3 piece suits, 4 piece suits and 5 piece suits. Starting with the 2 piece Men's suit, it simply consists of a suit jacket and trousers. This is more of a casual office look. A 3 piece Men's suit typically contains a suit jacket, trousers and a vest. It is more of a formal look and perfect for the colder months. A 4 piece suit is also considered to be formal and generally consists of a suit jacket, trousers, a vest and a bow tie too. A 5 piece Men's suit is considered a very classy and formal look and it consists of all the parts of a suit, including a matching suit jacket, trousers, a vest, a bow tie and a dress shirt.
